A local Tamworth artist and craft enthusiast! The Tiny Studio is more than just a place for art and crafts – it's a dream realised. A space where Abby can share her passion and the joy of colour and creativity with others!
The Studio story...
After moving from Sydney and starting a family in Tamworth, Abby often dreamed of creating a space where children could freely express themselves outside the structure of traditional school and childcare—a space as vibrant and imaginative as the little minds it aimed to inspire.
Having lived locally for nearly a decade, Abby gained an understanding of the Tamworth community, its unique charm, and what it was missing. Tamworth, an up-and-coming rural city, is full of people searching for something fresh, fun, and a little out of the ordinary—an opportunity Abby couldn’t ignore.
An art studio and retail space had always been her dream, and in December 2023, the perfect location opened up on Darling Street. The Tiny Studio was born—a colourful, creative haven for both kids and adults, filled with endless possibilities for connection, imagination, and fun!.
Sweet Petites NEXt Door
Sweet Petites is the cutest pink, gluten-free café right next door to The Tiny Studio, and we’re so lucky to work hand in hand! This beautiful café is filled with irresistible gluten-free treats like cakes, cookies, grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches, plus refreshing iced lattes, milkshakes, and iced teas.
Sweet Petites keeps our clients and crafters fueled with delicious snacks and drinks while they create, and we love using their cupcakes for kids’ parties and events, as well as their catering for our adult workshops and private gatherings.
The buzz of the café also brings so much energy (and foot traffic!) into our space, helping us share the colour and fun of The Tiny Studio with even more people. Together, we’re creating a place where our community can enjoy both fun and yummy things—all in one spot!

“I just love art and craft - it’s my happy place! When it comes to crafting, I’ve always dived right in (especially if I can make it pink!) From painting to sewing, pottery to paper crafts, I'm always eager to give anything a try. Crafting isn't just a hobby for me – it's a source of pure joy and an outlet for everything I’m feeling and holding inside! It’s a time I can be myself, and be free, to not follow rules or worry about failure.
I love helping others find this joy. It truly is so magical creating something with your own hands, pouring your time and patience into every stitch or stroke."
